There are two scholarships that we offer to aid students with their tuition.

The Pearlie L. Fitcher L. Weathington Scholarship

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2007 Pearlie L. Fitcher L. Weathington Scholarship Award!

This scholarship is offered to students with low income. Students do not have to be in a degree or certificate program to apply for this scholarship. The only requirement is that the student qualifies according to the income guidelines for this award (proof of income is needed). Qualifying students must complete an application. After all applications are received the award is determined by lottery.

Living Word Outreach Christian College General Scholarship

This Scholarship Not Available At This Time

Pre-requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age

2. You must enroll in a program or be enrolled in a program

3. You must complete a registration form

4. You must request a Scholarship Application

No previous college experience required

Special Instructions For applying:

1. Prepare a typed entrance essay on all three topics: No less than 50 words/no more than 100 words per topic. Topic #1 – What is the significance of Christian Education? Topic #2 – Discuss the significance of utilizing scholarship programs for Christian Education? Topic #3 – How can a student use their Christian Education in their personal ministry? Do not give your age, gender or marital status or any other indications that will prejudice your essay or you will be disqualified. No other instructions will be given for your essay; so do not call for mentoring.

2. Do not put your name on your essay! Be sure not to mention your name or any other persons’ name in your essay.

3. Put your SS# in the right top corner of your essay.

4. Place the essay in an envelope and seal it.

5. Complete scholarship application and attach to front of envelope.

6. Place both in a large envelope and mail to our office – Living Word Outreach Christian College & School of Ministry, c/o Registrar, 400 W. Lincoln Hwy. Chicago Heights IL 60411. (You cannot drop it off. It must be mailed)
