Educational Distinctive of Living Word
Outreach Christian College & School of Ministry
The programs at Living Word Outreach Christian College and School of Ministry are designed solely for religious vocations.
Uniqueness of Living Word Outreach
Christian College
Our educational concept is the unique design which God is using for the preparation of people with a calling to enter into ministry with certain skills. In many college settings, much time is wasted on the slow pace of information, while we provide much information which is relevant to the immediate call.
The faculty and the materials used in the course study at Living Word are not disconnected from the pulpit or the local church. These men and women are “in touch” with the struggles and conquests of the local church!
The Curriculum
The material used in the educational process is “cutting edge” in thought and research, while not forsaking the foundational truths. It is relevant and aimed at preparing for ministry now.
The courses which we have developed are designed to renew your spiritual life, deepen the theological understanding, and improve your ministry skills.
Transferability of Credits Earned through
Living Word Outreach Christian College
Our credits are accepted by all colleges that are accredited by Accrediting Commission International (ACI), the world's largest non-governmental accrediting association. Over 250 schools nationwide!
Acceptance of our credits from schools outside of ACI is determined by the receiving institution. If you plan to transfer to a college outside of ACI we recommend that you decide which other colleges you would like to attend and call their office of records and transcripts to find out if our credits will be considered for transfer. We recommend that you finish a program with our college or any other college rather than to try to transfer credits one to another in the midst of completing a program.
Admission Requirement
Our desire is to offer several ways that a student can learn Bible truths as well as earn credit in the process.
If you have completed high school or have received the GED or equivalency, then you may enroll in a certificate or degree program.
If you have not completed high school or received a GED or equivalency, you may take Biblical studies courses only, however, no certificate will be awarded.
Admission Procedure
1. The student needs a desire to complete their program through diligent application of time and money towards this
goal.
2. Complete the application for admission and submit application fee
3. Complete an evaluation request form and submit evaluation fee
4. Provide a copy of high school diploma, GED or equivalency
5. If desiring life experience credit or proficiency testing, include a comprehensive resume.
6. Include the application and evaluation fee.
7. Include copies of other degrees, awards, transcript(s), certificates, etc. (Official transcripts and or letters of
validation for life experience credit are needed by graduation deadlines, unless otherwise indicated)
The office of the Dean will evaluate the information and determine where you will be placed in the academic program.
Seminar Format Class Instruction
Due to the increasing demand of families, ministry, and work we have found (1) to (4) class seminar style sessions, to be most beneficial to our students. Sessions are held one Saturday per class, per month over a 1 to 4 month period of time. Example: every 1st Saturday for 4 months
Most classes of this style follow a lecture method, however, the method is determined by the instructor for any given course. This format may include student presentations, outside speakers, or a combination of these. The amount of time per class may vary depending on how many sessions the class will run. See current class schedule for details.
For students whose schedules are better accommodated on a week night we periodically offer 10 week courses.

Living Word Outreach Christian College & School of Ministry
The School of Christian Dimensions
An Online Certificate Program
The School of Christian Dimensions is designed to create a platform for critical thinking on some of the Christian’s most pressing questions in life. It broaches the subjects most churches avoid such as, “Does God reject His own laws of physics to bring about harmony between His human creation and their faith in Him.” What should Christians do with the many different worldviews they face on a daily basis? Should there be a dichotomy between society and the Christian faith and practice?
For Christians who have inquiring minds, this program offers you a chance to use your God given intellect along with spiritual insight to bring better understanding, commitment, and even zeal to your Christian witness.
Level One Certificate – 5 courses (15 credit hours)
Level One Courses
SCD 300 – The Physics of Christianity: The most heavy weighted class of the five in this program. This course challenges the age-old dispute about the relationship between science and religion. It proposes that that the laws of physics answer many questions in support of miracles recorded in scripture. The basic concepts of physics are incorporated as a foundation for understanding the scientific position on this subject matter.
SCD 301 – The Journey Part 1 – A Time for Questions : Asks questions such as, What’s really important? What am I to make of evil? Is there any meaning to the suffering I experience?
SCD 302 – The Journey Part 2 – A Time for Answers : Focuses on one question in particular – The problem of why evil exists in the world and how humans [Christians] should respond to it in order to compare different worldviews.
SCD 303 – The Journey Part 3 – A Time for Evidences: Discerning between worldviews – Offers evidence of the truth of Christian faith.
SCD 304 – The Journey Part 4 – A Time for Commitment: Drawing conclusions and committing oneself to a life of faith.

Level Two Certificate – This level is in the developing stages but will continue along the same path of exploration into life’s inequalities and the Holy Spirits’ revelations for our times.

The difference is that the student is not confined to lecture hours and the pace of the traditional class room studies. Correspondence Courses are offered in two ways, either as a Certificate of Biblical Studies, or Correspondence Elective courses. Contact our office to request additional information about our Correspondence Program.
